Potenza combines two well-established technologies in one treatment: microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) energy.
Ultra-fine needles create tiny, controlled channels in the skin. At the same time, radiofrequency energy is delivered through the needles into the deeper layers of the dermis. This gentle, targeted heat stimulates the skin's healing response, prompting it to produce fresh collagen and elastin over the following weeks and months.
Because the energy is delivered beneath the surface, Potenza can address deeper concerns such as scarring and laxity while keeping disruption to the outer skin to a minimum

No two skins are the same, and Potenza is designed to reflect that. Needle depth, energy level and treatment mode can all be adjusted precisely, area by area. This means your practitioner can treat delicate areas around the eyes differently from areas of deeper scarring, all within the same session.

Your Treatment Journey
Consultation
Your journey begins with a consultation with Dr Catharine Denning or our senior medical aesthetician. We will assess your skin, understand your concerns and discuss whether Potenza is the right choice.
On the day
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to keep you comfortable. Treatment itself takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas treated.
Aftercare
Your skin will feel warm and look pink or flushed, similar to mild sunburn. This usually settles within one to three days. We will give you tailored aftercare advice.

Potenza can be used safely across all skin types and tones, including darker skin, when the correct settings are chosen by an experienced practitioner. Because the energy is delivered below the surface rather than to it, the risk of post-treatment pigmentation is lower than with some surface-based treatments. Your suitability will always be confirmed at consultation.
When will I see results?
Many patients notice their skin looks fresher and more radiant within a couple of weeks. The most significant changes develop gradually as new collagen forms, with improvements continuing for up to three months after your final treatment.
We usually recommend a course of three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart. Deeper scarring may benefit from additional sessions. Maintenance treatments can help sustain your results over time.

Numbing cream is applied before treatment, so most patients find it very tolerable. You may feel warmth and a light prickling sensation as the energy is delivered.

Downtime is minimal for most people. Redness usually settles within one to three days. We advise avoiding make-up for 24 hours and avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas and direct sun for a few days afterwards.

Standard microneedling works mainly in the upper layers of the skin. Potenza adds radiofrequency energy delivered at a controlled depth, which enhances collagen stimulation. This allows us to treat concerns such as scarring and loss of firmness more effectively.
